About Chrisman, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Chrisman is a small city found in Edgar County, Illinois, and as of 2010, there were fewer than 1,400 residents in this community. This small city is found along U.S. Route 150 and houses two railroad lines operated by CSX Transportation. Chrisman is located about 40 miles northwest of Terre Haute, Indiana, and it is about an hour's drive southeast of Champaign, Illinois.

Chrisman is a small community, so there are very few attractions located here. Some specialty shops do exist, such as Radke Implement and Lewsader’s Flower and Gift Shoppe, and a few small restaurants like Riggen’s Frostop and the Corner Grill are also located here. Fortunately, the community is quite close to Danville, where there are other attractions available. These include the Harrison Park and Golf Course, the Danville Stadium, the Kickapoo State Recreation Area, and the Vermillion County Museum.

The climate in Chrisman is variable throughout the year. Winters tend to be cool to cold, and average high temperatures will reach the upper-30s. Residents are wise to invest in an energy-efficient furnace or heat pump to stay warm during these months, especially considering that overnight lows usually fall to the upper teens. Not only will an energy-efficient system keep home interiors warm despite outside conditions, but it can also help to keep winter heating costs low.

During the summer, conditions can become uncomfortable for other reasons, as temperatures will skyrocket to the upper-80s. Since the area experiences considerable mugginess, it will feel even hotter than that, and on the most uncomfortable of days, many residents will stay indoors to beat the heat. A reliable air conditioning unit will ensure that residents stay comfortable throughout the most difficult summer months. Additionally, these systems can improve indoor air quality by reducing dust and allergens that tend to circulate through indoor air during the summer.
