About Covington, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Covington is a city founded in Fountain County, and as of 2010, it was home to approximately 2,600 residents. It also serves as the county seat. Fountain County was founded in April 1826, and Covington was established a year later to act as the county seat. This was the source of considerable debate for many years, as Covington was not located within the center of the county. However, it was eventually decided that the county seat would remain in place, and the coming of railroads in the future alleviated some of the geographical concerns. Today, residents and visitors can access the community easily, as Interstate 74 passes by the southern edge of Covington, taking travelers west to Champaign, IL, or east to Indianapolis.

Covington is a small city, so there aren’t a lot of attractions located here. However, there are a few things to see and do, including a variety of specialty shops. The most notable of these stores include the Old Dime Store Café and Gift Shop, the Wabash Valley Flower Shop, and the House with the Lions Antiques. The Fourth Street Gallery is another option, and visitors may also enjoy booking services at Angel’s Salon and Spa and Coca Isle Tanning.

Residents of Covington tend to invest in both home heating and cooling systems, as both will be valuable at different times throughout the year. Summers in Covington are hot and humid, and since temperatures can easily reach the 90s, it is crucial that residents have a cool place to retreat. An energy-efficient air conditioning system can provide them with just that while also keeping summer utility costs down, and similar benefits can also be experienced with a new heat pump or furnace. Since winter temperatures tend to fall below the freezing point overnight, choosing a new home heating system can prove to be a great investment.
