About Rockville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Rockville, Indiana is a city located in Parke County, and it also serves as the county seat. Known as “The Covered Bridge Capital of the World,” Rockville is home to approximately 2,600 residents. This community is found at the intersection of U.S. Routes 41 and 36, and it is situated about 30 miles southwest of Crawfordsville. It is also small geographically, consisting of only about 1.5 square miles of total area, all of which is land.

There are a variety of interesting attractions located in and around Rockville, despite this community’s small size. Holding true to its nickname, there are numerous covered bridges located around the region, including the Bridgeton Covered Bridge, Sim Smith Bridge, and the Narrows Bridge. If you are looking to learn more about the history of the area you can check out Billie Creek Village, and shopping fans may prefer a trip to Antiques on York. Other notable attractions in the community include the Covered Bridge Art Association Gallery and the Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area.

Rockville is characterized by a humid subtropical climate zone. Summers are hot and humid with high temperatures reaching the upper 80s. However, since the weather tends to be very muggy during June, July, and August, it often feels even warmer. While outdoor recreation is popular during the summer months, residents will need a cool place to retreat during the hottest of days, and an efficient air conditioning unit can provide just that.

Winters in Rockville are mild to cool. While average high temperatures tend to approach 40 even during July, the coldest month, low temperatures fall below the freezing point overnight. Although precipitation and snowfall tend to be minimal, these frigid temperatures can be dangerous on their own, and without a heat pump or furnace system in place, pipes and plumbing work could be liable to freeze and require expensive repairs to correct.
